hic sunt dracones
Picture courtesy of Wikimedia Commons and is in the Public Domain. It originally came from Geographicus Rare Antique Maps.

Hic sunt dracones means Here Be Dragons in Latin. Legend has it that maps makers used to put those words on areas of  maps that they had no knowledge about.  I think this is an appropriate title for my blog because I am working on the nature of its content.

I am a mother, daughter, wife,  part time librarian, friend of dogs but I am also an independent person.  If  I were a Peanut’s character I would be Peppermint Patty. I like wearing sandals, having messy hair and being comfortable.  I like pop culture, books, traveling, libraries, podcasts and the outdoors.

I have not decided yet how much of myself I will show in this blog.  In some ways I am starting blog to be as open as possible about how I really feel about things but I also need some privacy.  It is a fine line.
